Last Day in Bangkok: Emsphere Sky Beach Club, Terminal 21 and Saying Goodbye to Thailand

Hi friends! Today we are exploring Bangkok on our last day in Thailand. The days we spent here really flew by. We wanted to make the most of our final day and see a few different parts of the city.

When we first arrived in Bangkok, we visited the temples, Chinatown and the river side. This time our route shifted towards the modern face of the city: a mall with a rooftop pool, an unexpected event and one final Terminal 21 stop.

Emsphere and the Rooftop Sky Beach Club

First, we walked through colorful streets to reach Emsphere, one of Bangkok's well-known shopping malls. On the top floor of the mall there is a Sky Beach Club.

And yes, let's answer the obvious question: there really is a beach club with a pool inside a shopping mall. Coming across a space like this in the middle of the city, on the roof of a mall, is quite a surprise.

Entry and Pool Are Free

Here is the best part: entry and pool access are free. You can also use the regular tables at no cost.

Sunbeds, however, can be paid on some days and free on others. For that reason, it is worth checking the current situation before you go. Since the policy can change from day to day, planning based on older information you find online can be misleading.

Prices and One Small Warning

If you want to have coffee and enjoy the pool with your friends, this is a really nice option. Coffee prices are also quite reasonable compared to Turkey.

Just do not overlook one detail: a service charge is added to the bill. Factor that in from the start so you are not surprised when the check arrives. Even so, considering the view and the pool access, the total you pay still feels very fair.

Sitting by the pool with a view over the city in Bangkok's heat was easily the most relaxing part of the day.

An Unexpected Stop: The Honda Event

After leaving Emsphere, we came across an event organized by Honda. It was not on our plan at all, but it turned into one of the most fun parts of the day.

We tried many different things in the event area. We even took a test ride on a scooter with a suitcase attached. It was an experience we did not expect, and it was genuinely entertaining.

This is something I really like about Bangkok: in front of malls and in public squares, there is constantly some event, setup or show happening. If you avoid over-planning your schedule and leave a few gaps, your chances of running into surprises like this go up.

Terminal 21 Bangkok: The Bigger Version

Afterwards, we moved on to our final mall stop in Bangkok. Since we loved Terminal 21 in Pattaya, we wanted to see the Bangkok one as well.

The same themed concept applies here: each floor represents a different country and city. Visiting this one right after the Pattaya branch gave us a nice chance to compare the two.

We walked around for a while, had a good meal, and then headed for the airport.

Final Thoughts

And with that, we reached the end of our Thailand adventure. After seeing the temples, Chinatown and the river in Bangkok, then the island, the beaches and the nightlife in Pattaya, finishing the last day on the modern side of the city was a nice way to close things off.

Sky Beach Club in particular is a place I can easily recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable break in Bangkok without stretching their budget, since both entry and the pool are free.
